Breakfast is a struggle for me. Not a morning person, I find it a chore to wolf down a protein shake or a simple sandwich for that matter. Add to that, I am not a calorie counter.
Though, this morning I decided that I was going to have breakfast after the morning workout. Perfect. Waltzed down to Starbucks, not the best breakfast location and I am acutely aware of that but, between chinese noodles and a sandwich..the ‘wich won.
The choices were plentiful: moroccan chicken wrap, sliced sun-dried tomatoes with a plain bagel, waldorf sald (gag!) etc. I thought, I’ll just have a plain bagel thinking it would average 2-3 slices of bread (150-200 calories)
Ordered it and sauntered back to the office with relative ease. Oh oh, the bagel that I chose: plain sesame bagel has…wait for it “440 calories”
Holy cow! Ya, that’s what I’ll be if I ate it every day. Geez! Unfortunately, I am on sort of an experiment so I’ll HAVE to put this down in my food journal today. Bah.
