Week 5: Day 2

Morning Workout

  • 32 mins eliptical (Weight Loss Mode – 340 calories burnt)
  • Crunches – 100 front

This week, I made the decision to try alternate days of working out. With hope and alot of grit, I pushed myself but, this change seems to have set me back a couple weeks. Aside that fact that I strained my back slightly when I did that stupid stunt at the abductor/adductor. Bugger!

Cardio-wise, I’m struggling through my 1st session and I have yet to make it to the 2nd session this week. The gym has reached a new point of concentration, it is ridiculously crowded before 8am. Is it not mad?

What time do I need to wake up to get a decent work out? As it is, I rise before dawn breaks.

Tomorrow is the start of the new gym which is further from the apartment but, I’m sure much less crowded. Least I pray.

Week 5: Day 1

  • 32 mins eliptical (Weight Loss Mode – 320 calories burnt)
  • Crunches – 120 front

A rest between work outs has worked out better for my body but, my mind is more comfortable with working out 4 days straight. Isn’t that silly? Workout today held the promise of the beginning of my run but, I awoke with a worrying ache in my lower back which usually denotes a time close to my monthly woe.

It worries me because, it is not time yet. So, I’m slightly puzzled.

I tried doing my usual adductor/abductor but, I wasn’t able to carry the weight with the nagging pain in my lower back. My 1st cardio was difficult, I had to constantly push myself through the various intervals. Overall, it wasn’t a bad time but knowing how hard I had to push, it was abit discouraging.

Week 4: Day 3

Mid Afternoon Work Out

  • 35 mins eliptical (Weight Loss Mode – 360 calories burnt)
  • Cycling (8 Miles / 25mins)

Today, I reached a milestone with my 1st cardio session. I did not have to mind-fuck myself until the last 10mins. Isn’t that such an achievement? For once, I did not have to fill my mind with insanely tiring thoughts. Woopie!

Sye picked me up for gym because she was heading there for her first workout in weeks. Usually, she takes WAY longer with her workout than me or Ms M. When I was done with cycling, I looked all around the gym for her but she was already in the locker room packing up. Jeez.

So no, extras for me. I just did cardio which worked out awesome because I had such a tiring week. Week 5 marks the beginning of my run.

Week 4: Day 2

Morning Work Out

  • 32 mins eliptical (Weight Loss Mode – 340 calories burnt)
  • 100 crunches (100 front)
  • Prone Leg Curl (5 sets of 10 reps / 19lbs)
  • Hip Abductor (5 sets of 25 reps /30lbs)
  • Hip Adductor (5 sets of 25 reps / 30lbs)
  • Cycling (6Miles / 25mins)

Dragging myself to the gym always pays off because, I begin my day more alert and ready to vroom through. Right now, I certainly have more confidence that I will be able to keep up in group exercise at the new gym. Physically, I need to take my measurements to keep track.

Foodwise, I am not as consistent. Oof. I blew the healthy eating on Monday by ordering fried noodles with black sweet sauce and cockles.

Oh no. Today, it started really good. I had tuna fish in water and saltine crackers for breakfast and it went downhill from there because lunch was deep fried chicken chop.

I will probably get a locker at the new gym so I can store my trainers. If memory does not fail me, it is $108 for half a year which isn’t bad if I consider the fact that I don’t need to lug half my home with me at 6am.

Week 4: Day 1

  • 35 mins eliptical (Weight Loss Mode – 360 calories burnt)
  • 160 crunches (160 front)
  • Prone Leg Curl (5 sets of 10 reps / 19lbs)
  • Hip Abductor (5 sets of 25 reps /30lbs)
  • Hip Adductor (5 sets of 25 reps / 30lbs)
  • Cycling (8Miles / 32mins)

I love that I’ve incorporated my second segment of cardio into the workout in week 4. That said, I negated my workout by going to the pub and getting pissed on 4 bottles of beer.

I want to do my arms but there are WAY too much muscleman around for me to do it in peace.  Can’t wait to switch gyms!

Mid Week Cardio

Week 3: Day 3

  • 32 mins eliptical (Weight Loss Mode – 320 calories burnt)
  • 100 crunches (100 front)
  • Prone Leg Curl (5 sets of 10 reps / 19lbs)
  • Hip Abductor (5 sets of 20 reps /20kg)
  • Hip Adductor (5 sets of 20 reps / 20kg)

Cardio was tough for the initial warm up (first 5 minutes) and then, I just breezed through the remaining 20mins and finishing up was tough because I kept wanting to get off the eliptical.

Next week, I can begin incorporating my arms and shoulders routines into the exercise plan. In addition, I will up the ab work. Do more side crunches and perhaps attend 1 group exercise session

Pushing On.

The goal is to drop 2 dress sizes by June so I can attend wedding seasons looking semi-decent.

It is a very achieve-able task as long as I stay consistent to my exercise plan and diet.

Fight tradition.

Week 2 of Project “Losing It!” started with a blaze but ended with a slight damper because I was ill yet again.

This week, the diet is doing MUCH better. I’ve counted 1 coke and an iced tea in the last two weeks. Isn’t that just fab?

The struggle to get out of bed is VERY much better as well. I’m pushing myself slightly harder at the gym so, I’m getting more bang out of my buck (no pun intended)

Week 3: Day 1 & Day 2.

  • 32 mins eliptical (Weight Loss Mode)
  • 130 crunches (100 front, 15 right, 15 left)
  • Prone Leg Curl (3 sets of 20 reps / forgot the weight though)
  • Hip Abductor (3 sets of 20 reps /20kg)
  • Hip Adductor (3 sets of 20 reps / 20kg)

Falling off the backwagon.

It always seems to be something, be it falling ill or injuring myself while exercising.

This is Week 2 of Project “Losing It!“, and it was such a struggle to get up this morning BUT I did. Inspite of the fact that I was online till past midnight.

Beginnings are always tough. Last week, I successfully cut out all soft drinks and snacks from my diet. Unfortunately, I bombed over the weekend because I had to go out and as lame as it sounds, I subconsciously ordered a green tea and iced lemon tea.

Struggling out of bed today, I cabbed to the gym and I manage to do my usual cardio plus sit ups.

Week 2: Day 1

  • 32 mins eliptical (Weight Loss Mode)
  • 100 (70 front, 15 right, 15 left)
